March on March Past

An interesting phenomenon is distinct in countries with cash budget, cash accounting systems and following April to March Fiscal year! All financial prudence and controls are diluted in the month of March (last month of Fiscal year; and the 'rush to spend' prevails. The authorities want to spend every penny at the year end fearing the lapse of budget allocations. The over-zeal of the authorities to spend make the people with financial wisdom and duties irrelevant and soft targets, to meet their 'expending targets'!

Those not falling in line are viewed as trouble makers and are subjected to all kinds of criticism, humiliation and reprimand etc. Where conscience prevails the systems prevail! The systems are run by people of conscience and integrity; and they would not like to part of the 'rush' without falling the SOP.

Unfortunately, there is seldom any peer or institutional support to the righteousness in the public systems. Except for the principled and self-motivated people, most people fall in line to avid being the soft-targets of the authorities. But that's where the test of the individuals and systems is the issue! In the real World, there are more 'black sheep' than the white ones. The 'blacks' prevail in the systems; but 'white' excel in their own ways with high self-esteem; without being negative about their behaviour in their work. While the collaborators 'March on' with March; the people of integrity are ready to face the 'March- past'.

This is where the transparency and accountability issues hinge on! If the hinge of transparency and accountability is rusted system is fooled; and if the hinge is well functional, systems prevail.

Life for everyone, as usual, goes on anyway; but the choices are made!

नग्न-सत्य

ये भी सच है वो भी सच है
किस-किस का सच देखूं मैं
परिभाषा तो परिभाषाएँ हैं
पर सच में ही सच देखूं मैं
तेरा सच मेरा सच क्यों हो
सभी नज़र से सच देखूं मैं
जो सबूत अकाट्य देता हो
बस उसको ही सच मानूं मैं
सच जो झूठ के वस्त्र पहनता
अनावरण कर 'सच' देखूं मैं
तेरे 'सच' को झूठ कहा हो
कभी ऐसा सच ना बोलूं मैं
सच में ही सच खरा वही है
यूँ नग्न-सत्य जब देखूं मैं

दिशाहीनता

मन की उड़ान में
कहीं दूर की सैर
एकदम उलट
दोराहों और चौराहों से
असंख्य गलियों के जाल
कभी सारी परिचित सी
और कभी अनजानी सी
किंकर्तव्यविमूढ़ करती
भटकने की उलझन
और आभास कराती
दिशाहीनता का
और अकस्मात्
मन पूछने लगता है
मैं भटक गया हूँ
या कदाचित
स्वयं भटक गई हैं
ये गलियां
अपने ही जाल में

सब का मुल्क़

आज़कल यहाँ
मशरूफ हैं सब लोग
तलाशते हैं मायने
नए-नए कितने
मुल्क़ के यहाँ
अपनी- अपनी तरह से
अपनी- अपनी वज़ह से
ऐसी बात नहीं
कि आज किसी का
और कल किसी और का
हर किसी का है मुल्क़
अपनी- अपनी तरह से
शुमार होंगे सब लोग
होंगे भागीदार सब
तरक़्क़ी के मुल्क़ की
सबसे पहले मुल्क़
फिर कोई होता है और
इसी को कहते हैं
सब का अपना मुल्क़

पानी-पानी

पानी की हैं अपनी कई पहचान
कभी ये जग पानी-पानी हो गया
लोगों की हैं अपनी-अपनी पहचान
कभी मैं शर्म से पानी-पानी हो गया
कौन कहता है शीतल होता है पानी
कभी ये शहर पानी से जल गया
कई बार पानी की बूँद को हूँ तरसा
कभी हर रास्ता पानी से भर गया
कभी हुआ करता था निर्मल पानी
अब यहाँ सब पानी-पानी हो गया

Water and Emotions

Water is like emotions
Taking shape of bearer
When static its calm
Turbulent with strong wind
Flows with the convenience
Wash away the dirt with flow
Splash with the surface
Changing temperature with air
Adjusting with the locale
Sweet or salty on quantity
Many colors and shades
Albeit viewed colorless!

Our World

Could be in the past
May be in present too
You and me disagreed
We quarrelled, fought
Argued in bitter words
For we all wanted to
Make our World better
Perhaps never realized
A simple point to ponder
That's universal truth
We may think about again
With reasoning on issue
Your World and my World
Is the same World
No dualism about it
No doubts about it
So we must think again
We shall work together
For our better World

We Owe to Women

It's still intriguing
Who was the first
A man or woman
We must not dig
As nothing exists
About the origin
Today all know
Men or women
Complimenting
Coexisting ones
Without the one
Unthinkable other
Not same they are
But in similar role
And importance
Unfair to compare
Who is stronger
Fair to bring things
In full equilibrium
Making all equal
With advantage
To the women
Because it's true
We owe indeed
More to women

कोई और नया कल

आने वाले कल की उम्मीद
ज़्यादा अज़ीज़ है हम को
बीत गए कल के गम से
हादसों से गुजरने के बाद
कोई नहीं छोड़ता है यहाँ
ज़िन्दगी में अपनी शायद
आगे बढ़ने की उम्मीद
कल हमारा न था न सही
आज उम्मीद ज़रूर है हमें
नया कल साथ हमारे होगा
या फिर कोई और नया कल
