I will make it sure
Government for you
Governance for you
A nation for you all
Wealth for the people
Make government transparent
And accountable to you
A system that cares for
Citizen-centric approach
Present all the accounts
Now O all my countrymen!
Pay up taxes of all kinds
I have no more promises
And am ready to penalize!

फिसलन भरे रास्ते

आओ फिर एक बार
जी लेते हैं हम
इन लम्हों को
उसी गर्मजोशी से
साथ-साथ चल कर
इस बर्फीले ठण्डे मौसम में
खिली धूप की तरह
एक-दूजे को तसल्ली देकर
सँभाल लेने की
इस फिसलन भरे रास्ते में
बढ़ चलें अब हम
बाँहों में बाँहें डाल
फिर उसी मंज़िल की तरफ़
जो शायद अज़ीज़ है
अब भी दोनों को
कहीं न कहीं शायद

Demons

The demons are back
In so many forms
Dancing with evil joy
Ready to destroy all
Who don't toe to line
They reach and preach
The savage ways theirs
Not open to reasoning
Their ways and words
Are quoted with poison
Claiming to be divine
But full of hatred they are
They kill at their will
Everything theirs is evil
Devil inside them strong
The demons are back!

गुलाबी

ज़माना कितना बदल गया है
दूरियाँ अब बेहद सिमट गई हैं
फिर गुलाबी सर्दी का मौसम है
दिल्ली की गुलाबी सर्दी में यहाँ
लखनऊ की गुलाब रेवड़ियाँ हैं
बहारों के मौसम की दस्तक है
कोंपलों के रंग भी तो गुलाबी हैं
सब तरफ गुलाबी कलियाँ देख
होली के फ़ाग गुनगुनाने लगे हैं
तन मन और बहार के गुलाबी रंग
इस मस्त नज़ारे और मौसम में
गुलाबी इश्क़ के गवाह बन रहे हैं

Mix Bag

Everything is important
As life has its story
Different for each one
Not just bright moments
But anything in mix-bag
Even the dark moments
That paves ways many
To think or introspect
Sparkling of ideas many
And churning of thoughts
So long as hope lives
We are for rapprochement
Get and help fellow beings
Compromise with own ego
Without surrendering it
Live and relive moments
With some sacrifices too
All will share joy and woes
Unequally but intermittently
Keeping zeal to live vibrant
Everything coming in mix-bag
Some concerns some celebration!

ये ज़िन्दगी

थक कर बैठ गए तो रुक जाएगी ज़िन्दगी
बैठने का नहीं चलने का नाम है ज़िन्दगी
हर मोड़ पर रुकने से थम जाएगी ज़िन्दगी
रुकने का नहीं बढ़ने का नाम है ज़िन्दगी
रो दोगे बात-बात पर तो बस रुलाती रहेगी
रोते रहना नहीं हँसने का नाम है ज़िन्दगी
भूल गए तो बिसरा देगी सब कुछ ज़िन्दगी
भूलना नहीं याद आने का नाम है ज़िन्दगी
उम्र गुजर जाती है बाक़ी रहती है ज़िन्दगी
गुजरना नहीं काम आने का नाम ज़िन्दगी
कहीं छुपी बैठी रहती है असल में ज़िन्दगी
हकीकत नहीं ये मीठे ख्वाब सी है ज़िन्दगी
समय के साथ चलने का नाम है ज़िन्दगी
वक़्त की रफ़्तार सी जो होती है ये ज़िन्दगी
मुश्क़िल है बड़ा समझ पाना ये ज़िन्दगी
बड़ी अनजानी सी होती है सच ये ज़िन्दगी

मनो-भ्रान्ति

गरीबी में भी प्रसन्न मन से
अपनी चादर तक सिमटे लोग
जीवन की सादगी और
अपनी सदाशयता के प्रतीक
अर्धनग्न रह कर बसर करते
फिर भी पूरी ईमानदारी से
जीवन यापन व व्यवसायरत
और इनका भी शोषण
उजले-उजले परिधानों में
काले कुकृत्य करते लोग
घृणा का पात्र बन कर
अपनी मानसिकता के
नग्न आयाम दिखाते हैं
इनकी दृष्टि में ये सफल हैं
अपनी बुद्धि का दम्भ भरती
इनके विचारों को बना देती
हास्यास्पद और खोखला
ये नंगी सोच व मानसिकता
स्वयं में लिपटी मनो-भ्रान्ति

The World has progressed
Spirituality to materialism
Prominance of religion growing
Shrinking of distances all
Promoted the globalisation
New competitive situations
Ethics and morality take toll
Vision and minds grown small
Self over us gets precedence
For individuals and nations
Lethel weapons of destruction
Out to eliminate the others
Trying to outsmart everyone
For flag, own faith, commerce
Humanity mere fashion statement
Evrything done for exclusiveness
Inclusion for the name-fame sake
