Gone are now the olden days
When there were statesmen
Camaraderie among adversary
Of course they were politician
The ways of campaigning too
Within limits of sophistication
There were the political agenda
Albeit no personal insinuation
Now decency is in backburner
New ways to lure voters for win
Language of streets the crass
Free for all without exception
In parties without the principles
Everyone has individual ambition
Vested interests reign supreme
No one now cares for the nation
