इश्क की दास्ताँ तो न बनी कोई अपनी
लेकिन इश्क हो गया दास्ताँ से था हमें
वो बनी भी न थी या कभी सुनी भी न थी
पर सिखा गई वो जाने कितने सबक हमें
Tale of love wasn't there in my case
Yet the tale of love overwhelmed me
It wasn't there and was never heard
Nonetheless gave few lessons to me
