मेरे हिस्से/ My Share

बेशक़ तुम आसमान निहारते रहो
तुम्हें होगा शौक़ आसमान छूने का
शायद तुम्हारे पास तो पँख भी हों
आसमान की ऊँचाइयों में उड़ने को
मुझे ये सब्ज़ बाग़ मत दिखलाओ
मुझे तो कोई मति भ्रम ही नहीं है
न मैं आसमान को छूना चाहता हूँ
मेरे पास बहुत कुछ है करने को
मुझे तुम ज़मीन पर बना रहने दो
मेरे भाग का आसमान भी रख लो
मेरे हिस्से की ज़मीन ही मुझे दे दो
और कुछ नहीं मेरे पास कहने को
Sure you keep gazing at the skies
You may have liking to touch skies
May be you have some wings with you
To fly you very high into the skies
Don't try to show me the daydreams
For I have no defects in my wisdom
Neither do I want to touch the skies
I have many things to deal in pieces
You let me remain attached to my land
Also keep with you my share of skies
Leave my land with me for my rejoices
I don't have more to add to your lies
