20 Good Things About Nepal

1. Cultural heritage is enormous, extremely unique and interesting.
2. Culturally, Nepal is very much alive to the traditions, festivals, customs and music.
3. Even in Extended families the bonds of joint family are retained.
4. People are friendly, warm, and gentle. Religious; but not fanatic.
5. Most people, especially women, have smiling faces; and they keep smiling.
6. People have still not lost the hopes of being a prosperous and peaceful nation.
7. Generally the birth of boys and girls are treated and celebrated alike.
8. People are willing to help each other.
9. The society is liberal and conservative both at the same time; so they have good (and bad too) aspects of both.
10. The youth have tremendous will to excel and work abroad for better opportunities.
11. Villages and village level bodies are vibrant and efforts to manage them better are on.
12. Women are treated respectfully (generally).
13. It is safe for women to walk around alone (even at midnight) in the streets of the cities.
14. They celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm; and the people are generally secular.
15. Civil Society and Media are powerful and visible.
16. Right to Information and liberty is available.
17. The outlook of the bureaucrats, though indifferent, is humane.
18. People have easy access in most government offices and even with the politicians.
19. Nepal is tourism friendly country; and has great tourism potential.
20. Nepal has tremendous potential to grow prosperous and develop faster.
