I did admire him and his ways secretly
His sixth sense could smell the secret
He had wanted to go steady with me
I ignored and reprimanded him too
When I wanted to know him better
Hesitation had surrounded thoughts
I overcame the hesitation somehow
But someone else started adoring him
I was then ready for a new beginning
With the conviction of mind and soul
Alas! Opportunities never came back
I concluded, life was that way for me
