साल दर साल हम नया साल यूँ मनाते रहे
न तो नया ही हुआ न कुछ खास ही बदला
कुल मिलाकर बस यही हिसाब लगाते रहे
बस तारीख़ में हर बार ये नया साल बदला
Year after year we celebrate the new years
Neither substantial new nor was any change
Overall it all boiled down to the realizations
Just another year in history was the change
